I wonder what Mr Bluh is doing for new years ( but saying that he's probably gone into lockdown at the bunker)

20Eyes hasn't posted in here for a while....has he gone too far?

Two year will do
what two year olds will do
thanks to you

Letz all join them in 2011
doing what we need to be doing
at whatever age we may be

The only time we have is now
it's a present, that's why 'they' say it is so
unwrap our moments

'tis something to do
'twixt cradle and grave
unwrapping marvellous moments

Well happy new year to you Councillor Bluh.  Hope you don't balls-up in 2011 quite as badly as you did in 2010.

When even the pantomime troll, 20Eyes, goes on public record to say that he thinks that you'll f*ck up every decision you have to make, you know it's time to jump (or be pushed).

Can I just take this opportunity to wish everyone on Talk Swindon a ' Happy New Year' and I hope you all have a good 2011.

I thought I had best say it now as I am on grandma duty tonight and I know I will probably not get the chance to get on here once baby Einstein has arrived !

I have to be vigilant with him (he is 2) as he is very inquisitive and on the go !
In fact 5.00am on Boxing Day - he got up and put his 'Andy Manny' toy in the microwave - so my daughter informs me !

Happy New Year  :santa_afro:

Totally agree. It's a process predicated around the con of appearing to serve the interests of the community.

The most depressing part is that, unless the coalition have under Prescott's handiwork already (which I very much doubt), there's very little/nothing the Council can actually do.

As long as the planning application holds up legally, which they almost always do (no maximum number of dwellings necessary, remember kids, only a minimum), then it's nigh on impossible for the Council to block the developers from going ahead with whatever they wish to do. Having been on the wrong end of a an (appalling) planning application process that trounced the local residents, it does make you wonder what the point of the Council Planning Committee even is.

I believe a health care service reliant on vehicles has inherent risk.

Bit strange. I don't think too many people walk to hospitals these days.

I believe people should be allowed to remain in their own homes for as long as they wish to (regardless of whether the 'experts' think otherwise). It should be up to the individual where they want to stay. Nothing more heartbreaking than seeing a person's home sold off and the money basically transferred to the bank account of old people's home operators or the State.
