Celebrate West Swindon and 25 years of Link Centre

To recognise all the good things going on in West Swindon  and to mark 25 years of Link Centre, the West Swindon Forum and Link Centre are jointly organising a showcase event to bring the community together to meet and enjoy at Link Centre on Saturday 10 July, 10am to 2.30pm.

Displays by community organisations, performances, activities for adults and children plus displays by the Neighbourhood Policing Team, Fire and Rescue Service, Streetsmart including recycling, Trading Standards, Swindon Energy Project, Swindon Parent Partnership, Family Information Service, Road Safety and The Link Magazine.

Police work in the West and Spring is Sprung set for forum meeting

Reports from the two Neighbourhood Police Teams will be made at the West Swindon Forum on Monday 12 July, 7.30pm, at West Swindon Library.

Also on the agenda is the 800 new houses proposed for West Swindon. A discussion proposed by The Link concerns the future of public art in West Swindon and the reinstatement of Spring is Sprung.

The state of the sculptures was highlighted in the May Link where we called for them to be made visible, celebrated and safe. See www.swindonlink.com for images of all the art pieces.
